Who performed best within this season?

Season Rankings are intentionally relative to the football environment of the selected year. A quarterback's 2025 score is built from production, per-opportunity efficiency, first downs, touchdown creation, turnover avoidance, contextual accuracy, starter results and clutch performance, then standardized against qualified quarterbacks from the same season.

That within-season reference helps avoid treating raw statistics from very different offensive eras as if they were created under identical conditions. The minimum-play and minimum-game controls affect which rows you choose to display; they do not recalculate a player's QOPI. When postseason data is available, the playoff switch folds those games into the season line before it is scored.
